FWCC Celebrated Cesar Chavez Birthday The month-long celebration culminated with a green market event in our Belle Glade office, where the community, clients and supporters were invited to observe Cesar Chavez’s birthday on March 31st. During the entire month of March, the agency displayed pictures, biographical information and posters that highlighted Chavez’s accomplishments and legacy. Our monthly support group was also used as an opportunity to teach a new generation of farm workers about Chavez’s struggles and accomplishments. We would like to extend gratitude and recognition to the local growers whose donations were necessary to the success of our green market: A. Duda & Sons Hugh H. Branch Inc. TKM Farms, Inc. Special thanks also to the Cesar Chavez Foundation who donated educational materials and posters for the event.
