Ms. Joseph receives the keys to her new mobile home

On Friday, April 23rd, 2010, our Executive Director, Manuel Allende presented the keys to Mrs. Joseph’s newly renovated mobile home. Mrs. Joseph is a 2009 Palm Beach Post Season to Share recipient.
The Farmworker Coordinating Council arranged for the purchased of a mobile home by Mrs. Joseph, including repairs and installation of a ramp in order for her son’s wheel chair to access the home. Her son suffers from cerebral palsy.
The agency also arranged for the purchase of furniture and appliances for the family. The funds were donated via the Palm Beach Post “2009 Season to Share” program. Ms. Joseph and her family will now be able to live in an affordable, sanitary and safe home that she can truly call her own! Before moving to her new place, Mrs. Joseph had to carry her son into their tiny one bedroom, second floor apartment where she lived with her three children.The new place is a three bedroom mobile home, with enough space for the entire family. Her monthly rental expense was reduced by $300 monthly. She will be able to sustain her family at a much more affordable level thanks to the donators of the 2009 Season to Share!
