Comprehensive Health Initiative Program (CHIP) Funded by the Allegany Franciscan Ministries, CHIP is designed to assist uninsured farm worker families gain access to local health services, while overcoming the barriers that prevent them from living a healthy life.  CHIP helps expectant parents understand the importance of pre and post natal care, providing them with financial assistance for prenatal vitamins and/or prescription medication. Prenatal women, infants and individuals at risk of health issues due to lack of food will receive supplemental food/vitamins.    Maintaining optimal health throughout a pregnancy is essential in making sure mom and baby are getting proper care.  Educates farm workers about pesticide risks, healthy habits and other health related information.

 

CHIP is funded by the Allegany Franciscan Ministries and it operates from the Lake Worth office.
